Garden Caprese Salad

Fantastic garden caprese salad made fresh from the garden. Sure to impress your guest.


1 Ripe Heirloom Tomato

4 Basil leafs

3 oz Mozzarella Cheese

4 Tablespoons Aged Balsamic vinegar

2 Tablespoons Port Red wine

Note: per person



1. Combine Aged Balsamic Vinegar and port red wine in small sauce pan and reduce over low heat until thick like syrup

2. slice 1/4 inch thick slices of mozzarella

3. slice 1/4 inch thick slices of heirloom tomato (remove the sections at the top and bottom of the tomato)

4. layer tomato, mozzarella, basil leaf, repeat twice

5. drizzle with cooled sauce, season with salt & pepper then serve
